BMS Quick Start Guide

⚠️ Important: DO NOT CHANGE PASSWORD (Click Here) Recovery Instructions

Do NOT change the system password on your BMS. This can lock you out and, in some cases, brick the unit entirely.

If your BMS is already locked or bricked after changing the password or a failed firmware update, follow these steps to recover it:

  1. Connect BMS to the battery — main negatives and positive only. Balance cables are not required.
  2. Attach the communication cable to the RS485 “one” port.
  3. Set DIP switch #1 to ON (all others OFF).
  4. In the PC software, open Upload Firmware and select the correct file (e.g., 14.19).
  5. Click Force updating and enter the unlock code.
🔗 Get your unlock code here by entering your serial number from the app.
  6. Press and hold the BMS power button, then press the reset button once. Keep holding the power button until the update completes and you hear a confirmation beep.
  7. The BMS will power off. Turn it back on — a beep confirms success. All settings will reset to factory defaults, so you may see initial errors until balance cables are connected.

Note: This unlock code also allows firmware downgrades — something not possible with the stock JK method.
