24V PCB Busbar Installation & Technical Guide

Everything you need to know about setting up, wiring, and maximizing the performance of your 24V PCB Busbar system.
1. Installation & Video Walkthroughs
While there is no printed manual, the designer, Jehu Garcia, has created comprehensive video guides to show you exactly how to align your cells and secure the board.

2. Power Capacity: PCB vs. Metal Busbars
Rule of Thumb: Think of the PCB as the "brains" (monitoring) and the metal busbars as the "muscle" (power).
- Under 50-60A: The PCB traces can handle the current independently.
- Over 60A: You must install the original metal busbars that came with your cells. Layer them directly with the PCB to prevent the board from overheating during high discharge or fast charging.
3. Connection Ports (Green vs. Black)
The board offers two ways to access your cell data for your BMS or Balancer:
- Green Connector (Screw Terminals): Perfect for raw wires. If your BMS has loose leads, simply strip them and screw them directly into these terminals.
-
Black Connectors (Plug-and-Play): These provide the same cell data but use a ribbon cable for a cleaner look.

4. Digital Battery Monitoring
The dedicated 9-pin port is designed for the BattGo BG-8S Smart Battery Checker, allowing you to see individual cell voltages instantly.
