Installing the JK BMS App (iOS & Android)

📱 JK-BMS App Tutorial

Your step-by-step guide to installing and setting up the JK BMS App for iOS & Android

1. What This Setting Does

The JK BMS App is more than a display — it’s the control center for your battery system. With it, you can:

  • View individual cell voltages in real-time
  • Activate the Active Balancer
  • Configure High/Low Voltage Cut-offs
  • Turn Charge & Discharge MOSFETs on/off

2. Why It Matters

Without the app, your JK BMS may remain in a “factory off” state. The app ensures your battery is safe and properly configured for your 48V 280Ah LiFePO4 system.

3. Before You Change Anything

  • Power the BMS: Wake it up with a brief charge or activation button.
  • Update your phone: iOS 17+ or Android 6.0+ required.
  • Passwords: Connection = 1234, Settings = 123456

4. Step-by-Step Setup

For iOS

  1. Open App Store
  2. Search “JK BMS” or “极空 BMS”
  3. Download & open
  4. Allow Bluetooth permissions

For Android

  1. Try Google Play Store
  2. If issues, download APK from JK Support
  3. Allow Location & Nearby Devices

Connecting: Enable Bluetooth + GPS → Scan → Select “JK-PB…” → Enter 1234.

5. Recommended Values

Setting Value
Cell Count 16
Battery Capacity 280Ah
Balance Current 2.0A

6. Real-World Example

After bolting your 16 cells together, you open the app, enter 1234, and see 16 voltage bars. One reads 3.31V, another 3.29V. You toggle “Discharge” ON — your inverter hums to life. You are now in control.

7. Common Mistakes

  • Denying GPS permission on Android
  • Using the wrong app (only JKTech/Chengdu Jikong)
  • Pairing via phone settings instead of inside the app

8. Troubleshooting

  • BMS Not Appearing: Wake with charger for 2s
  • App Crashes: Try older v4.27 APK
  • Password Issues: Use 123456 if 1234 fails

9. Safety Notes ⚠️

  • Never change Cell Count/Battery Type under heavy load
  • Only download APKs from official JK sources

10. Quick Summary

  1. Download JK BMS app
  2. Enable Bluetooth + GPS
  3. Scan & connect (password 1234)
  4. Verify 16S cell count
  5. Turn on power safely
