Step Rings

Adjustment Step Rings

We finally have the long awaited 58mm to 43mm step down ring, it took us a little while to find it and get it delivered but we finally have it, and it is now available. For all you guys with the HF-S10 or S100 or Sony VX2000. You’ll be able to use this ring and fit the Jag35ST & Jag35E w/ 43mm threads.

We offer our Jag35 Adapters in different thread sizes, 37mm, 43mm, 58mm, 62mm and 72mm, so if your camera’s filter thread fits one of these, great, but if it doesn’t, then you’ll need to use a step up or step down treaded ring. We have a couple of them available, for example, the Canon HFs10/100 model cameras have a 58mm filter thread, so you can use the 58mm to 43mm step down ring. Also some of the JVC model cameras have a 46mm filter thread, for these cameras you can use the 46mm to 43mm step down ring. If we don’t have the step ring you need, then we suggest you do a search on ebay, you can usually find them very affordably.

If you plan to use your adapter with a prosumer camera, one with 62mm threads, you'll need to use bigger optics, for this we offer the XL Optics. Get the one with the 62mm achromat.

I bought JAG35ST with 37mm thread. I want to use it for my camcorder with a 43mm thread. Can I get a 43mm adapter? what do I need?

Hi! I purchased a jag35 pro that came with an achromat and a 37 – 58 step ring i think? What step ring do i need to attach it to my hf s100? Do i need to purchase a new achromat?

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

If you have the 37mm thread, then you will definitely need to get a bigger achromat. You'll need to get the 40mm achromat w/ 43mm thread, and then you can get a 58mm to 43mm step down ring, so you can use with your HFS100. Let me know if you want this, I can invoice your for it directly, send me an email to: misa@jag35.com

Hello, my Jag35ST, that was bought off of ebay, came with a 37-58 step ring. This ring is stuck to a cylinder that holds the Jag lens. When I switch my 37-58 (with the cylinder that hold the lens) to a 58-43 how will I be able to reconnect the JAG lens. The 58-43 picture on your site looks like just a ring. What will hold the JAG lens if there's no cylinder.

don't understand your question. Your tryin' to switch the adapter from a Jag35ST w/ 37mm thread to one with a 43mm thread, it's not an easy fix. The Condenser lens that ships with the 37mm thread is I believe 38mm and but the lens that ships with the 43mm thread is a 43mm lens, so you won't be able to simply switch the step ring alone, You would really need a whole condenser upgrade. is that what your tryin' to do?
