In order to do this we will also be offering different rod options. The rods you end up using with your rig will be up to you, but we will try and explain as clear as possible why you get all the options.

Our Jag35 rods are made out of solid aluminum. We will offer them in two different lengths for now, 6″ (inch) and 12″ (inch). We looked at many different rods and try to find one that’s affordable and well made and couldn’t really find one that was both, so we decided to start machining our own. These are solid aluminum and anodized black. They are great and most importantly very affordable. We will be offering these rods with all our rigs, and very soon, we will also be offering the 8″ (inch) rods.

Zacuto Aluminum Rods

Your other option for your rig is to use Zacuto rods. After we tried many rods out there and inspected the built quality, and once we attempted to fabricate our own rods. We quickly realized that Zacuto is really making the perfect rods. Why should we try to reinvent something that someone else is already doing so well. We will not make an further attempts to improve our own rods, and we will just offer you Zacuto rods for your rig. In our opinion, they are perfect and they aren’t unreasonably priced either. So we will continue to offer our own Jag35 rods, which will be a little more affordable, however, if it’s in your budget, we definitely recommend going with the Zacuto rods.

Hello, I purchased a field runner kit among some other items, and I'm finding the 6" rods for the FF, handles, tripod plate, and offset clamp just too much for 6", so will be getting some 12" rods to replace them.
Do you sell/can you suggest where I can get short double-ended screws to screw into the rod threads and then screw on some extension rods, so that I can still find use for these 6" rods? Thanks!

We do have an extension rod you can use to make your current rods longer, I'm assuming of course your using either Zacuto or Jag35 rods, if not, we do also offer a 20" Jag35 rods, they will be available on the website later today.
