The JAG35Pro model has become our best selling adapter in 2009. It’s a vibrating 35mm DOF adapter that gives more control over depth of field using a 35mm SLR lens. We offer the Jag35Pro with an Achromat lens, you must choose which best fits your camera needs. If you will be using the adapter with a small consumer camera with a 58mm filter thread or smaller, then you should use the 40mm achromat. If you plan on using the adapter with a bigger prosumer camera then you can choose one of the bigger achromat options.
It is available with Canon EF (eos) and FD mounts. The EF mount is made out of metal the FD is plastic. Available in 37mm, 43mm & now 58mm threads and other sized threading is possible by using step up adapters.
It uses internal rechargeable batteries that charge using the supplied charger in 4 hours and last more than 10 hours of operation.
This adapter like most, inverts the image, So I recommend using an External Monitor to fix this and work around this issue. I recommend the 5M screen as it is the sharpest and brightest. International orders require an extra $20
And if you plan on using this outside of the U.S.A. you will need to purchase a power converter like one of these.
I have an HV30 and I’m considering one of these w/ a Canon FD 50mm. Should I turn off Autofocus on my camcorder and focus manually with the lens? Or will the autofocus adjust to compensate for whatever setting the lens is on?

Hi Brandon,
You’ll definitely need to use the manual focus of the SLR Lens. You’ll only be using camera’s focus initially when you setup the Jag35Pro on the camera.

Hi there,
I shoot with the underated Casio Exilim ex f1, i have the the jagst with a nikon lens, i had to step it up from 43mm to 62 and use a macro lens with it, i would love to upgrade to the jag35pro with a 62mm achromat, have you had many EX F1 owners use the jag35, i cant really use the jagst (wrong achromat for my camera or my macro lens distorts the edges too much?)
How many times magnification can you get with the Jag35pro?

I ordered JAG35 pro, and while waiting for it, trying to find a good lens to go with it. Does this take only a standard lens – like canon EF 50mm f/1.8 or can it also handle zoom lenses like canon EF-S
18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 ?..in either of these cases do you have any recommendations?

Hi Arvi,
We always suggest you stick with using the fast possible prime lenses for shooting DOF. You can use zooms, but you'll need a lot of light in order to get decent images, If your able to control lighting, then you should be fine. EF-s lenses, are not recommended at all. The adapters are design to work with Full Censor lenses, so smaller censor lenses, will probably give you a lot of vignette.

This thing looks amazing. I'd like to get one for My Canon Vixia HFS-10. Question for the admin. Which WordPress Plugin are you using for the JAG35pro video gallery above? I have one that's similar for photos but not video.

Your HFS10 has a 58mm filter thread, so as long as you order the Jag35Pro w/ 40mm achromat and 58mm thread, you should be fine.
It's not a plugin, had to create a table and create the code manually, they are being called thru shadowbox.

Hi there!
I’m very interested in buying one of this for my Canon Vixia HF S10 (look here that I;m not the only one with this camera).
But have a few questions:
1 – What’s the difference between 40mm, 62mm and 72mm Achromat?
2 – I live in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro. What are the shipping costs for this product and how your warranty works for international buyers?
Thanks a lot. I can see that you guys have great quality products at a good price.
Can I suggest to you to sell an entire Rig, with JAG35Pro, the CAGE for DSLR and Compact consumer cameras (like the Vixia HF S10), support rods, D|Focus, D|Gear and a Matte Box. A full rig with a discount. That could be a good idea, what you think?
ps: I would be pleased if you respond me using my email, at least to say that you responded here in your website. Thanks a lot, again.

Hi Geffa,
1. Difference in achromat is size. Most consumer cameras are ok with a 40mm achromat, bigger prosumer cameras, require bigger achromats.
2. Internal orders pay a $40 shipping rate. If you have problems we can send you replacement parts.
3. We did offer Full Rig bundles on the old site, however, as we are changing our support system, we're getting ready to offer different packages with better solutions. http://jag35.com/bundles.html

Hey there,
Love the look of the product from all of examples from you and others. I have a Sony FX7 and plan on getting the 62mm Achromat with 62mm thread. 2 questions:
1. Do you have a suggestion on which mount type to use of the 4 offered. and
2. What is the absolute easiest way to view the video right-side-up while recording. Do I HAVE to buy an external monitor for the camera…?
Thanks so much!

Ordered and the shipping said 10-15 days..
I GOT IT IN 4 DAYS!!
from america to australia that was the fasting shipping
i have ever experienced in my entire life!
The lens is very nice.. i was a little worred when i opened it up
and everything wasnt connected.. but its pretty easy to setup
some sort of short instruction booklet would of been nice..
but i guess it doesnt take a genious to figure out.
The lens it’s self is pretty nice.. abit to much vignetting and
it i cant put my 35mm wide angle lens on it =[
The flipped image is such a hassle and i would get my camera hacked but it can;t be hacked aparently so i’m going to use a magnet to trick the LCD into flipping upside down but this still doesnt solve the back to front issue..
My camera is a Sony HDR-SR11 by the way..

Hi
I'm interested in purchasing this adapter to use with a Canon Xl2. As I'm quite new to all this, do I need to buy extra equipment apart from this adapter to be fully functional? And can I fix a Vivitar Zoom lens (28-210mm)to it?
Thanks

I believe your Canon XL2 has a 72mm filter thread, so you just need to get the adapter with the 72mm achromat, and that should screw right in to your camera's filter thread. As far as your zoom lens, you just have to figure out what lens mount it uses. We always suggest you use the fastest possible prime lenses. So we suggest you use a Canon FD 50mm f1.4 or f1.8 to start out with.

Well, I suppose it could work, however, you really would need to figure out what filter thread your camera has, then you would order accordingly.

The Jag35Pro comes with the adapter itself, it includes a 40mm achromat, your thread choice of either 37mm, 43mm or 58mm, and your choice of lens mount. It also includes a Charger, and an allen key so you can adjust the adapters.

Your HV30 has a 43mm filter thread, so select 43mm threads.
The Jag35ST only comes with the Canon FD or Nikon lens option. If you need to use EF lenses, then I suggest you go with the Jag35Pro.

Hello,
I have seen some of a lot footage shot using your JagPro, VERY NICE!! I have a Canon HV30. I was wondering what adapter would you recommend. I have several Nikon lenses: Nikon AF-S 18-200mm, 70-200mm and a Tokina 12-24 lens. Would the JagPro 35 work with these lenses? Also, what converter will I need so that the JagPro will accept the Nikon and Tokina lens? Please reply. Thanks!

JAG35Pro Questions…
1. Anyone have good experience with the M42 adapter?
2. Also Does this GG allow me to clean it? or is it designed as a consumable in this setup?
3. What is the fulfillment time after purchase? (do you require build time?)
Thanks – trying to decide between your unit and a competitor – speed of delivery may be an important factor.

According to CNet Reviews your JVC GZ HD3 has a filter thread of 46mm so I would suggest you go with the 40mm achromat and select the 43mm thread and get a 46mm to 43mm step down ring.

Hi, I understand you are busy designing and making your absolutely great adapters and accessories, but i hope you will find the time to answer my questions, which might interest somebody else as well.
I have a Canon HFS100, which has a 58mm thread. The 35PRO seems to be the best option, but the 35ST seems smaller and lighter for hand use, so:
1) If I use the 35ST with an achromat and a 43 to 58 mm ring, will I get vignetting or other problems? Is vignetting totally eliminated by zooming in with the camera's zoom?
2) I have many lenses: Canons, Nikons, Leitz and several 42mm including Tessars, Planars and a Super Angulon. I'd like to try them all. If I use adapter rings, will I lose infinity focusing? Is it possible to adjust the ground glass position? And, is it possible to purchase both Nikon and Canon mounts and swap them, either on the 35ST or the 35PRO?
3) I would order the LCD flip hack together with the adapter. Would you ship the modified camera and the adapter together, or does it have to be 2 shipments?
4) Filming hand-held with the 35PRO, will the vibration influence image stability, and will there be noise captured by the microphone?
Thanks for your time,
Diego.

Hi Diego,
1. You should be able to use the Jag35ST with out any issues, zooming in should take care of the vignette.
2. You can use both Canon and Nikon lenses, we do support both, however, you have to pick which canon mount you wanna use. We offer either Canon FD and then a converter from Nikon to FD or Canon EF (eos) with a converter ring from Nikon to eos, so it's just a matter of which canon lens you wanna use. You can find the converter rings on this page: Mount Conveters. Our GG Screen on the Jag35ST or Pro models doesn't have the ability to be adjusted for back focus. It's initially setup on our end, and for the most part should work with most lenses. Occasionally some lenses are off and might need adjustment, however, this is a rare case. Converter rings are setup so you don't loose infinity focus simply by using them, however, you do have to consider that all lenses are set different, and can be slightly off because of wear and tear.
3. We wait for your camera to arrive so we can flip hack it, and we ship everything together in one shipment.
4. The vibrations don't have any effect on image stability when shooting handheld, and noise isn't an issue on the Jag35Pro, at all. Additionally the Jag35Pro has speed variation control which can be adjusted to lower the noise level from the vibrating motor.
Hope this helps.

We don't keep adapter in stock, simply because we can't make them fast enough to catch up with our pending order list. At the moment it takes us about 10 working days to ship all pending orders, from the day you place your order. We do also offer a rush delivery option, where we move your order to the front of the line and ship you the next available adapter, usually within a few days of you placing your order. If your interested in this option, you'll find it on the last step of the check out process.

The Panasonic HDC-TM700 according to Cnet reviews has a 46mm filter thread, so you can use our adapter but you'll need to get a 46mm to 43mm step down ring, so you can get the 40mm achromat with a 43mm thread, that should work for you.

I guess another option would be to use a 62mm achromat with a step up from 58mm to 62mm.

hi, i have a GY-HM700and i have not read anywhere someone using it with a jag35seriesi have the Canon X14 lens, so if i'm correct my achromat is 62MMi only know this because of the obvious 62MM saying on the lens. but i need some confirmation about if i want to buy a Jag35 lens with a nikon mount.the question is, is this correct?62MM AchromatNikon mountscreen type 5Mthread size 62MMif its not a big deal, i would appreciate if this could be answer'd trough my mailbecause i actually want to buy a jag35 adapter.

yes, it should work

Your lenses filter thread on that camera, is actually 82mm according to cnet.com's reviews. We haven't used one of those cameras, but just so you know, the best idea would be to get the 72mm achromat w/ 72mm thread, and use an 82mm to 72mm step down ring.

Hi I have the Sony hdr cx110, I just saw the filter size and is 30mm, and I can´t find than you have this option for the adaptor, or maybe I´m wrong, so, I could by also a step up adapter? Thanks

Wonderful site, guys, and I'm looking forward to using your product for my next film. However, a couple of questions. 1. If the lens I'm using is a 50mm f1.4 Nikon, if I order the 40mm Jag35Pro and chose the option for the Nikon mount type, would that be all I needed? Or would I also, in addition, have to purchase a mount converter for the Nikon lens? Does the option for the "Nikon mount" mean it's ready to accept the Nikon lens?2. How could I tell what filter thread a certain camera has? Is it labeled on the lens? I want to be sure when I purchase a new camcorder that I'm able to order the correct size. Thank you very much for your time and products. You're a savior to us aspiring filmmakers.

okay, i have a canon gl2
i want a adapter like this, but i have a couple problems,
how long does it take to ship?
how hard is an lcd hack?
and is it needed?
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
The mount has nothing to do with what kind of camera you have… the Mount refers to the Lenses you will be using with the adapter.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Thanks for the Help Jeremy! We're overwhelmed with questions!
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
At the moment we are shipping adapters right away. Usually within a couple of days of you placing the order. The LCD hack isn't being offered for your camera anymore. You'll need to use an external monitor to fix the inverted image. We offer an affordable one: http://jag35.com/new/products/jag35-monitor/

I have two Cameras, a Sony – HDR SR11 and Panasonic HDC-TM700K. Can someone please let me now where i can find the mount type, Achromatic , and thread size for each of them. Also has anyone bought adapters for either of them, if so what are your suggestions? AAA
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Hi Albert,Your HDR SR11 has a filter thread of 37mm. Your HDC TM700K has a filter thread of 46mm. I would suggest you get the Jag35Pro w/ a 40mm achromat, get it with a 43mm thread, then you'll need to get two step rings. 37mm to 43mm step up for your SR11 and a 46mm to 43mm step down for your TM700K. That's about it.I believe we have the 46mm to 43mm step down: http://jag35.com/new/products/step-rings/but the 37mm to 43mm we do not have. You can get it for a couple of dollars on ebay.
Albert
Misa Garcia,You are Awesome… Supper Fast Response that directly answered my questions…Thanks for you help…. Best Wishes with your products AAA
Albert
Misa Garcia,Thanks again for you help, I just have one more question regarding the mount type. Which do I choose that will fit both cameras… the EF, DF, Nikon or M42? AAA
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
the Mount type has nothing to do with the cameras. It refers to the type of SLR Lens you will use, on the other end of the adapter. If you already own lenses, then choose the correct mount type for your lenses, if you don't already have lenses, then I recommend you go with Canon FD Lenses, read more about it here: http://jag35.com/new/blog/what-lenses-should-yo…..

Hello I l own the Sony HDR HC1 and i use sigma lenses for the sony alpha 100 can i use those lenses on the jag 35pro and what all will i need?
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
You already asked this.I dont know, we don't support Sony lenses. I don't have any sony lenses and have never used them. Our adapters come with a Canon EF (eos) or Canon FD lenses and we offer a Nikon to EF (EOS) converter We also offer Pentax to EF converters but that's it. You would have to find a Whatever your lens mount is converter to Canon EF (EOS)
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
I don't understand your question. You want to buy a Jag35Pro adapter, to use on what Video camera? You have a Canon 7D so you want to use your lenses from your 7D? is that your question?

The Jag35SP has the best image quality. If your camera has a 46mm thread, I suggest you go with the 40mm achromat select the 43mm thread, and buy a 46mm to 43mm step down ring.

According to Cnet.com the filter thread for that camera is 72mm, so when you place the order make sure to order your adapter with the 72mm achromat.

I Have to admit I dont understant much of this technical language. All I know is I really wanna get that 35 mm image quality. So, my question is: To a Sony HDR-SR11E with a 37mm filter, what should i buy? (thanks for the attention in advance).
erick_garcia
I recommend the jag35SP with the 37mm thread size.

Any suggestions on how there can be more light int he picture when using the jag35pro?
http://www.iwillcreate.co.uk Rob
I own a Jag 35pro fitted to a Canon HFS 100, since discovering that it causes a wobble to the image I have only ever shot with the motor off. I made a video to indicate the difference of shooting with the motor on and the motor off. http://www.vimeo.com/9528674
I was gutted when I discovered this and have tried to slow the motor down, but I still get wobble.
I'm guessing by not having the motor on I am increasing the amount of noise in the shot from the glass is that right?
What can I do to stop this wobble?
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Yes, you'll need to properly light up your subject. Of course, we always suggest you open up your aperture ring on your lens, and in order to do that, you'll need to perform the toothpick trick on your lens. http://jag35.com/new/blog/the-toothpick-trick/
Tom
what would you recommend for a sony hdr-xr500v.. and is there any solution for the flipped image with lcd screen?
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
According to cnet reviews your camera has a 37mm filter thread, so order it with a 37mm thread. The solution for the inverted image we offer is an affordable ext. monitor.http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-camcorders/sony…..
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Hi Rob,The problem is with supporting the adapter. It seems like you have mounted the camera to a tripod and the adapter and lens are hanging unsupported. we really recommend you use support rods to support the weight of the adapter and lens, to avoid this issue.
http://www.iwillcreate.co.uk Rob
thanks for your response, this sounds most likely. So if I was to mount the Jag onto rods that would reduce the vibration going into the camera.. makes sense. I dont have the money for rods at the moment. Once I have got rods I will shoot a comparison vid.

are can you use minolta lenses with the jag35?
Lonzzbox
Hi, your product seems to be really interesting. But yeah I have few questions…. I have Canon XM2, with 58 mm filter thread, and I have canon and sigma EF lenses…. So will your Jagpro35 fits my cam and what to do with my inverted images in LCD? Which achromatic fits the best? Thank you!!!
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
We don't support minolta lenses, you might be able to find a converter ring, but I don't have any minolta lenses, so we've never been able to test it.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
I suggest you go with the Jag35Pro w/ 40mm achromat and choose the 58mm thread. Your image will be inverted, you can either fix this in post, or you can mount your camera upside down and shoot using an external monitor. one like this: http://jag35.com/new/products/jag35-monitor/
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Well first thing is. Turn the Jag35Pro on. You might need to charge the battery first, and when your shooting, make sure you turn on the switch, so that the GG Screen is vibrating. Second, you need to open up your aperture ring on your lens.

i used the jag35 pro today and this is the footage i got. I Dont know why but i had footage looked weird can u please help me on what i did wrong?
Hello, I've had my jag35pro for couple months now and still can't get enough of it. One problem Im having recently is that the motor doesn't seem to stay on even when its fully charged is this mean that my internal batteries is dead, if so, is there a way I can switch them myself? What do u recommend I should do? I heard somewhere that it uses AAA batteries inside. If this is true I should be able to replace them with new ones correct?
Is the image inverted even when using a monitor? Is this inverted thing just for the vibrating Jag35, or does the static version inverts the image aswell? Thanks
Chris
I have a Canon HV30 and I have an EFS 18-55 lens that came with my Canon Rebel XTI DSLR that I want to mount… what do I need to purchase???

I know other adapter companies list certain shutter speeds and apertures you shouldn't use with an adapter, like Letus35 mentions you should stay below f5.6 and 1/100 shutter speeds on some of their adapters. Does the JAG35 lineup with vibrating or spinning GG have any of these limitations?
Petebris
Would like to attach this unit to a Panasonic sd700, could you tell me the following.Have you any idea of the impoert duties this attracts to UK? With unit attached does the autofocus still function? does zoom still function? also would it be possible to mount this on a Steadicam or similar (any idea of all up weight?) One last question is the 'flip hack' available in the uk.Lots of questions I know but have checked everywhere, thanks in advance.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
1. I don't know how much import duties are in your country.2. Zoom and focus features on the camera are only used during setup of the adapter, once adapter is setup correctly, you will do all your focusing and zooming on your SLR lenses.3. Mounting rig on a steady system depends on your camera and steady system, and so does the weight of your rig.4. Flip Hack is no longer available. At all.Hope this helps, answer some of your questions.

Hi, I own a Canon Vixia HF-10 (37mm lens) and a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 that I use with DSLR Canon T1i. I'm interested in the depth of field adapter, I believe it's the Jag35Pro. Which is the correct product that I should buy?nnThanks,nEmerson
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Is your Canon 50mm lens an EF mount or EF-s?
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Yes, they have the same limitations.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
You can use this adapter to mount lenses, but I wouldn't recommend using your EF-s lenses. The problem with that lens is that it is design to work with small sensors, and the Adapter is setup to be used with full censor lenses, like the ones that were used to shoot film on. You'll have a hard time capturing a full image, you'll be dealing with a great amount of vignette. I would suggest going with the Old Canon FD Lenses for use with these adapters.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
All the adapters invert the image, including in the External Monitor, however, a lot of monitors offer functions in the software that allow you to display the image inverted. The monitor we offer allows you to do this so you can fix the inverted image while you shoot: http://jag35.com/new/products/jag35-monitor/

Order the Jag35Pro w/ 37mm thread.

Yes, you are correct, you can simply slide the battery cover off, and switch out the batteries, you can install new re-chargeable batteries or regular batteries.

You should get an HD camera, and if you plan on using a 35mm adapters, you need to full size censor lenses, like Canon FD Prime lenses.
l0uieda13
What thread size do i buy for vixia hv40 ?
l0uieda13
Oh and whats better for me an FD or an EF thnx
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
The Canon HV40 has a 43mm filter thread.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Depends, do you own any lenses? if you don't then I would go with Canon FD since they much cheaper to buy, you can get the Jag35Pro bundle which already includes an FD 50mm f1.8 or f1.4 lens.
l0uieda13
ok thats awesome , im about to order . one last question , how long will this take to get to me . I live in the bronx, NY.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
At the moment it takes us about 2 – 4 days to ship Adapters, should be there within a couple of days after that.

I have a Sony HDR-SR11 and a canon EF-S 18-55mm, f3.5-5.6 IS zoom lens. I'm a newbie and just discovered the Jag35Pro, want to play with it. What do I need to purchase? I think I need the Jag35Pro with 37MM thread, not sure if the canon lens will work with it well.

I believe the HDR-SR11 has a 37mm thread, so your right there, however, the EF-s lenses are designed for a small sensor, they won't work well with the adapter, you'll be faced with a lot of vignette, we always suggest using Canon FD lenses. http://jag35.com/new/blog/what-lenses-should-you-…

Anyone have advice on a flip hack for the Canon HF20?
Undernyc
Hello, I am ready to buy the JAG35pro NOW!! Just tell me what I need exactly for a Canon HV20 in terms of thread size, etc. and I will order it. Also interested in the flip hack. THANKS!!!
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
You'll need to order the Jag35Pro w/ 40mm achromat and a 43mm thread.nWe no longer offer the fliphack, sorry.
Petr Basel

The Canon FD 50mm f1.4 or f1.8 has a filter thread diameter of 52mm

Will the Jag35 Pro work with my prosumer level camera, and if so what will i need? I have a Sony AX2000, not to sure how these adapters work so i would appreciate some help
Thanks

I have a Canon HG20, which model adapter should I buy? And will this adapter work with any 35 mm lenses made by nikon?
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Should work just fine, just be sure to order your adapter with a 72mm achromat.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Get the Jag35Pro w/ 40mm achromat and choose the 37mm thread, and order it with a Nikon mount.
finchie
i have a canon legria hf s21 and am interested in a jag35pro. which one should i get? and what thread adapter do i need?, my camera has a 64mm lense thread..
depthoffieldyo!
hi there , apologies if this question was asked already. i have a Canon Legria Hv 30.. what model adaptor should i buy..Also i live in Ireland but i think you ship internationally.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Actually the Filter thread for that camera is 58mm, so make sure you order the 40mm achromat with the 58mm thread.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
The HV30 has a 43mm thread, so you can get the Jag35Pro w/ 40mm and order it with a 43mm thread of course. Yes we ship our products worldwide.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Good question. The thread we ship initially can't really be taken off. Simply because the achromat and the condenser lens are both mounted to the threaded ring. If your idea is to use one Jag35Pro adapter for both cameras. Then I suggest you buy the Jag35Pro w/ 40mm achromat and order it with 58mm thread. Which basically will mean that it ships with 43mm thread and a 43mm to 58mm step up ring. So that'll be your setup for your HFS11. Now in order to use it on your SR11, you'll need to get a 43mm to 37mm step down ring. To go between the two cameras, you'll need to remove the 43mm to 58mm step up and replace it with the 43mm to 37mm step down. Hope that makes sense.
Also, I don't think we have the 43mm to 37mm, but you can buy that ring for a couple of bucks on ebay. Hope this helps.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Your welcome, feel free to let us know if you have any other questions.

I am going to purchase a Jag Pro35 bundle this coming friday. What is the correct thread size for my hv20 and what is the highest quality set up I can get from you? Is the flip hack ever coming back?
Anonymous
Hi Damion, your HV20 has a 43mm filter thread, so make sure you order the adapter with a 43mm thread when you place your order. About the Flip Hack, no we will no longer be offering it. There are a few tutorials you can follow if you wan to do it yourself on http://hv20.com Hope this helps.

Hi, I have a Canon HF S100 and purchased a jag35 pro second hand. The jag35 back looks like it goes down to a 37mm ring. To mount the jag35 to my hf s100 i had to purchase a 37 to 58mm ring. I don’t think this is the ideal setup though, is it? Or do I need to purchase a back cap that attaches to the jag 35 pro directly that will fit my camera without the need for a step down ring?
Herve Tran
I guess what i’m asking is, do you sell the 58mm thread seperate?
Misa Garcia
Yes, that’s a not the best way to set it up, you’ll be dealing with a lot of vignetting. You really would need to have the 40mm achromat with a 58mm thread to start off with, instead of going thru the 37mm hole. We can offer you a 40mm achromat on a 58mm ring, send us an email thru our contact form, and request this there.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
No, actually you’ll have more problems with the optics, stick with the 40mm achromat w/ 58mm thread.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
According to the JVC spec sheet for that camera, you have a 46mm filter thread, so what you’ll need to do is, order the Jag35Pro w/ 40mm achromat and choose the 43mm thread, but then you’ll also need to buy a 46mm to 43mm step down ring, which will let you mount the adapter to your camera. Hope this helps.
Yes. As far as I know, there isn’t any good converter rigs that let you mount Canon EF lenses to a FD mount correctly, there’s some out there, but you loose a lot of quality because, they use optics. Too much glass in between, and a lot more light loss. Wouldn’t ever recommend it to anyone.

Get an external monitor and mount it on your rig, the monitor we offer has software inside that will invert the image for you, so you can view it correctly while you shoot. Check it out: http://jag35.com/new/category/products/monitors/

Hello i have a JVC Everio GZ – HD3 could you tell me what jag35 i would need?
Thanks.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Well I think your camera has a filter thread of 46mm thread, so you can get the Jag35Pro w/ 40mm achromat w/ 43m thread, and then you’ll also need a 46mm to 43mm step down ring: http://jag35.com/new/products/step-rings/
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
We ship all our international orders thru USPS Priority or Express if you order it rushed.
Get the Jag35Pro w/ 40mm achromat and choose the 58mm thread size. That should work fine for your setup.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
I don’t see what kind of issues you could have. The adapter just screws right on your camera’s filter thread. At the moment it takes us from 3 – 5 days to ship adapter order from the time you place your order.

hi i liketo whether this product is any good for me. i have a digital camera that has automatic focus with a 30.5 thread mount on it. would i be able to use this product to manualy focus with you adaptor or the lens i would have to purchase
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
I think you might be able to use it. can you switch your camera’s focus to be manual at all or no? What’s the model of your camera?
Kevin Garcia
Your camera has a 25mm thread diameter. I highly recommend that you go with our newest adapter the Jag35SP. The adapter is our break through adapter when it comes to the best looking footage with a DOF adapter. What makes the Jag35SP so great is the kind of motor used in the adapter, the SP as a high speed spinning GG screen inside of it off of which your camera will focus off of, what the spinning does is it gets rid of all the grain that the GG screen causes. Check out some of the footage we were able to get with a small consumer camera : http://www.vimeo.com/10105913
The way that our adapter works is that we match the thread of your camera and the adapter simply screws on to the front thread diameter.
Brainbug2001
Hi Kevin, thank you for your reply.
Kevin Garcia
If you are planning on ordering the Jag35Pro i recommend that you get the adapter in a 43mm thread diameter with a 40mm achromat. This set up will work the best with your camera.
Kevin Garcia
Hi,
Your camera has a 62mm thread diameter so the best set up would be to order the Jag35Pro in a 62mm thread with a 62mm achromat.
Joel
Is Jag35 still doing premade modified HV40 kits or other cameras? What link?
Federico Cappabianca
Thank you so much Kevin
Kevin Garcia
Unfortunately no, we stopped offering the flip hack over 5 months ago.
Kevin Garcia
Our adapter will not work with your camera, our adapter mounts to a camera by the camera’s front thread diameter. Your camera already allow you to use E-Mount lenses. We do not offer that kind of mount.
Kevin Garcia
For the best results with your camera i suggest that you get the Jag35Pro in a 43mm thread with a 40mm achromat. Since your camera has a 46mm thread you will need a 46mm to 43mm step down ring.
Jesus-leal-armado
what camera do you recomend for using your 35mm adapter? thanks
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
La Canon HV30 tiene rosca de 43mm, el Jag35Pro con achromat de 40mm y rosca de 43mm es el puedes usar, y te sugiero un lente Canon FD 50mm f1.4

When we were shooting with camcorders we used to love working with the Canon Hv20/30/40 cameras and the HF S10/100 cameras.

Hello guys,
I have a digital SLR camera (Canon EOS Rebel T1i) with a lens (EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS), and a camcorder (canon VIXIA HF M31). I want to shoot video and get the best results out either one of them.
Im really interested in the jag35pro and a rig, can you please let me know the best set up for either one, my budget is around $900.
thanks,
Raul E.

Hi. This work with Sony hdr xr-100? What best 35mm adapter for me?
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
The Jag35Pro will work great, just make sure you order one according to your camera’s filter thread diameter.
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
We always recommend you use Old Canon FD lenses for two reasons. They are old, so no one wants them, which means they are cheap to buy, and also because they are full censor, and all manual lenses. The problem with using your EF-s Lenses with adapters, is that, they’re not manual aperture, so adjusting your iris will be a pain, and also EF-s lenses are design to work with small censor cameras, which means, you’ll be faced with horrible vignette when using adapters which are design to work with full censor lenses. The other bad thing about using your lenses, is that they very slow lenses, when shooting with adapters we always suggest the fastest possible prime lenses, because of light loss.
How do you go about getting a spinner for the price of the pro? The spinner page still lists it as 375.
I’d like to pick up one (spinner) for my HMC40 for the holidays…

i can use the jag35pro with the canon hv30 and the nikon 50m lens on it right?

Yes, we shop our products worldwide, however, we are no longer offering the Jag35Pro adapters, the only one we are still offering is the Jag35SP.

Will I need rails with a jag35pro and a nikon 50mm prime lens?
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Thanks for sharing… great work

If you want to mount your rig on a tripod, then it’s definitely recommended that you use Rod support.

What is the difference between JAG35PRO and JAG35SP? I know that you are not selling JAG35PRO, but what is the difference?
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
The Jag35Pro has a vibrating GG Screen inside, the Jag35SP has a hi-speed spinning screen, reducing any grain to non-existent.

I have the Canon Vixia HF-S200 which jag35 achromat would I need, I am new to this…..Can someone help me…
Thanks
Shakir Smith
now you say to use an external monitor to fix the inverted image, when viewing through the monitor, is the image upright?
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
The Filter thread on your HF-s200 is 58mm, I suggest you stick with the 40mm achromat for that camera, it seems to give the best results for that type of camera. Go with the Jag35SP: http://jag35.com/new/products/jag35sp/
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
No, it’s not, but the Monitors we offer: http://jag35.com/new/products/jag35-monitor/
allow you to invert the image within the software, so you’ll be able to view the image correctly.
reteo
is there any way to get one of these adapters for a 46mm tread size?
I have no idea, does your camera have filter thread? If so what is it. Just so you know the jag35pro is no longer available, if you are searching for another 35mm adapter i recommend the jag35sp http://jag35.com/new/products/jag35sp/
Joel Kanda
Just curious as to why you are no longer selling the Jag35pro? Will you start making them again?
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Reason we are not offering the Jag35Pro or Jag35ST anymore, is because we have come to the end of our last batch of parts to make them. There’s isn’t a huge demand for the Jag35ST or the Jag35Pro anymore, so we decided to dedicate our time to other products that are very high on demand, like the Jag35SP and DSLR support products, sorry for any inconveniences this might have caused.
Nelson_espi
MisaGarcia, I noticed that all the adapters are “discontinued”. I just bought a Canon Vixia HF21 and really want to get a adapter, any chance I could order something from you guys for my camera?
well we don’t sell adapters anymore, so we don’t really have any products that are designed for your camera, sorry about that.
Choiv217
Wsup Joel. I actually have a Jag35pro that I barely used on my Canon HV40. If you are wondering why is because I got myself a Canon 7D. If you are still interested in the Jag35pro let me know @ choiv217@yahoo.com. My name is Victor btw

Hi, Im sorry to inform you we no longer make the 35mm adapters, it has been about a year since we stopped making them. I can recommend to you Letusdirect.com

Hello have you checked out letusdirect? you might want to do that, all you have to do to chnage the battery on the pro is slide off the battery pack and insert the new AAA batteries

Hola soy de Peru y tengo una camara Vixia hv30 Canon, tengo un objetivo de 50mm pentax con balleta quiero saber si el Jag35pro son para estos modelos, cuanto cuestan y como es la forma de pago???
Anonymous
hola, disculpa pero ya no vendemos el Jag35pro
http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia
Yes. you should be able to do that no problem… going the other way around is when you start to have barrel problems… going from a 37mm adapter to a 43mm threaded camera is what starts to create vignetting problems.
Anonymous
Hi,
we no longer sell it it has been discontinued for a year now. I wouldnt know where it is still available but i can recommend for you to check out letusdirect.com
