Jag35Pro Bundle

This Bundle has been discontinued

Our best selling adapter now bundled with the most commonly used SLR lenses in one package. Now you can get the Jag35Pro together with either a Canon FD 50mm f1.8 or f1.4 lens. You can begin shooting shallow depth of field right out of the box with everything included. Most consumer camcorder owners can take advantage of this package. The Jag35Pro already includes the achromat needed depending on the thread option you select. We offer this bundle with either a 37mm, 43mm or 58mm threads, which should work with most consumer camcorders, any other thread, can be achieved with the use step rings.

It includes an Achromatic Doublet lens element to reduce Chromatic Aberrations and a condensing PCX lens element to reduce Vignetting commonly found on DOF adapters.

It is available with Canon EF (eos) and FD mounts. The EF mount is made out of metal the FD is plastic. Available in 37mm, 43mm & now 58mm threads and other sized threading is possible by using step up adapters.

It uses internal rechargeable batteries that charge using the supplied charger in 4 hours and last more than 10 hours of operation.

This adapter like most others, inverts the image, but I offer a “Flip Hack” that allows you to fix this and work around this issue. I recommend the 5M screen as it is the sharpest and brightest. International orders require an extra $20

And if you plan on using this outside of the U.S.A. you will need to purchase a power converter like one of these.

At the moment it's taking us about 10 work days to ship all adapter orders from the day you place your order. But we do offer a rush delivery option, which means we'll move your order to the front of the line and ship you the next available adapter, usually within a few days. Hope this helps

Will this work with my Canon Xl2?Or do I have to purchase a step up ring "on top" of this bundle?

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

You would have to get the one with the 72mm achromat, that should screw right on your camera's filter thread. No need for a step up ring.

Hi, I'm using a Sony V1U and was seriously thinking of going 35. Will the 72mm achromat work with it?

Hi. i'm using sony handycam HDR-SR5 so will fit ??

  • Josh

hi, ive got a Canon HG20. Im thinking about getting the bundle. Will it fit? what thread size should i order? Also, i will be ordering to the UK so is there an estimate on how long it will take the adapter to arrive from the time of placing the order?

  • Shadde

Guys, what would fit my HMC40? I'm kinda new to this

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

This Jag35Pro will work, your camera has a 43mm thread, so order it with a 40mm achromat and make sure you choose the 43mm thread and you should be fine. If you get the bundle it'll already include a Lens, so you should be ready to go.

  • Truhnel

Hi MisaCan this bundle work with a sony hvr HD 1000u? If yes would i require step up rings? Finally, can i attach the monitor to the hotshoe?

  • Leo

helo, please. I own a Sonny HDR-CX150. witch Tread size should i order for this Bundle ?

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

Yes, it should work. What's the Filter thread diameter on your camera?I wouldn't recommend attaching the Monitor on the Hot Shoe, but I guess it's possible.

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

Hi Leo,The Sony HDR-CX150 has a 30mm filter thread according to cnet reviews. So your best option would be to order the bundle with the 37mm thread. You will then also need to purchase a 30mm to 37mm step up ring, to allow this to screw onto your camera. We don't offer that size step ring, but you can find it for a couple of dollars on ebay. Hope this helps.

It's possible to use it, but it's not recommended.

  • Ness

    37mm

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

ok, so just be sure to order the 37mm thread when placing your order.

Hi I have a Vixia HFS10, wich adapter has the best image quality?

Can i use the 72mm Achromat adapter?

    What do you reccommend?

Nope, you'll have to buy the items separately

  • Arextream

Does this adapter need to be plugged in to vibrate?

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

It has a battery box which contains re-chargeable batteries.

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

The Jag35SP has the best image quality. You can use the 72mm achromat, but I would recommend you stick with the 40mm and just order it with the 58mm thread, you should be fine.

  • Kingcjc6905

I have the hfs100 and was wondering if you recommend the 1.4 or 1.8?

The Jag35Pro bundle is great, just be sure order it with your camera’s filter thread, i believe your camera has a 37mm filter thread. The Bundle is great, because it comes with everything you need to start shooting shallow depth of field shots, it includes a Canon 50mm f1.4 or f1.8 lens.

I’ve never tested our adapters on that camera model, but it should work, of course, you’ll need to install the adapter in front of your lens, which means you’ll need to order the adapter with a 72mm achromat, then you’ll still need an 82mm to 72mm step down ring.

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

Sorry for the delay in answer this comment. The Jag35Pro Bundle includes everything you'll need to start shooting shallow depth of field. The only other thing I see that you might also need is a support rod system. Something like this maybe: http://jag35.com/new/products/support-rods/ or a Shrigg Rig

    Hello,

Does the Jag35Pro Bundle w/ 72mm Achromat include the flip hack? And do you suggest that I also purchase the jag35 support rod for a Panasonic AG DVX100A ? Thanks…

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

No, it doesn’t not include a the fliphack, we no longer offer to hack your camera, we suggest you use an external monitor to invert the image while you shoot. We don’t offer support rods for your DVX100A

  • Ben

Does the adapter use standard AAA or AA batteries, or is it a special rechargeable pack inside?nCheers ~ Ben

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

it includes AA rechargeable batteries inside, but you can replace them with regular AA or rechargeable ones.

  • Ben

Excellent. Thanks very much for the speedy reply!

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

no problem…. let us know if you have any other questions.

  • Petr Basel

thanks, it is already on the way … :) but please can U help us about fliphack? where can we buy it ? and what is the size of threat of lens ? Want to use some filter just as a protection ….

    thank you so much

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

    1. We're no longer doing the fliphack, specially on international orders, it would cost you too much to ship your camera to us. I suggest you find someone that's technically inclined and follow an online tutorial, you can find some at HV20.com forum.
    2. The Filter Thread diameter of the a Canon FD 50mm f1.4 or f1.8 is 52mm

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

Yeah, you'll need the 40mm achromat just make sure you order it with the 43mm thread, for your camera. I believe that's what your filter thread is.

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

Your Sony has a 37mm thread.

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

You can order the Jag35Pro Bundle which already includes the a lens. We suggest you go with the f1.4 and of course make sure you order it with a 43mm thread.

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

The Jag35Pro ships with a 5 Micron GG Screen. The Vignetting really depends on a lot of things, what lenses you will be using and also the camera. I don’t have any experience with the Panasonic PV-GS 250, you’ll have to test it out, on the Canon HV40 we don’t get much vignette while zoomed all the way with the Canon 50mm f1.4 and usually this can be easily fixed by zooming in a little bit.

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

According to CNET reviews your camera has a 30mm filter thread, so what you’ll need to do is, order the Jag35Pro with a 37mm thread, but then you’ll still need to get a 30mm to 37mm step up ring. We don’t actually sell that ring, but you can get it for a couple of bucks from ebay. Here’s an example:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/30mm-37mm-30-37-mm-Step-Up-Lens-Filter-Ring-Adapter-/250567124972?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a56f6e7ec

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

Sure. Your SR11 has a 37mm filter thread. So when you place your order make sure you select the 37mm thread option. You can definitely use Nikon glass however, that particular lens doesn’t seem to be a good fit for these type of adapters. We always suggest you go with Canon FD lenses, or if you want to use Nikon, make sure you use only the Fastest possible prime lenses. anything that’s F1.8 or faster F1.4 even better. Keep in mind that there is light loss with the use of these adapters, so you’ll always need to properly light up your subject when shooting this way.

The Mount will be determined by the type of lenses you’ll be using. If you want to use Nikon glass, you can choose any mount, then you’ll need to order a Nikon to Canon converter ring. Either Nikon to EF or Nikon to FD depending on which you choose.

When it comes to achromat, for your camera you’ll need to stick with the 40mm achromat.

    Hope this helps.

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

That should work perfect for you, you just screw the adapter to your camera’s filter thread. According to the Sony website specs, your camera has a 37mm filter thread:
    http://www.sony.co.uk/product/hdd-avchd-hard-disk-drive/hdr-xr520ve#pageType=TechnicalSpecs

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

    1. Yes, we ship within 2 – 3 days or so.
    2. Not sure, can’t guarantee anything.
    3. All our lenses are used, in excellent shape.

  • Jonvdh

Hello, I’m looking at purchasing a JAG35 pro bundle. I have a Canon HV40, which thread size would I required?

    Thanks,
    Jon

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

    43mm

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

The Jag35Pro bundle is one of our best selling bundles, comes with everything you need to start capturing some shallow depth of field shots. When ordering you need to select the thread size that corresponds to your camera’s filter thread. I believe the Sony HDR-SR11 has a 37mm filter thread.

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

Yes, they all include the 5 micron GG Screen.

  • Kevin Garcia

Your camera has a 58mm thread diameter, i recommend that you get the Jag35Pro in a 58mm thread with a 40mm achromat.

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

    1. Sure… just make a note of it when placing your order, and we’ll make sure ship it to you that way.
    2. I don’t think it will need to be raised, I think the D|Gear diameter will be ok. But if you need to raise it, we do offer the D|Riser, to make up for the difference.
    3. I really couldn’t say at the moment, I used to know, but I don’t have that info at the moment, if anyone wants to chime in, would be greatly appreciated.
    4. That’s about all you’ll need to start capturing some great footage, other than that, a tripod for stead shots, would complete the kit.

So question, I would like a Jag35Pro Bundle…and the camera I will be using is a Canon HV30. Am I right to assume that I need the 43mm thread?

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

we’re actually not offering these bundles anymore… the only 35mm adapter we’re still selling is the Jag35SP

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

What’s the filter thread diameter on your camera?

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

    Yes, you need 43mm thread.

  • Paul B

  • http://misagarcia.com Misa Garcia

We’re actually not offering bundles at this time, so I’d say go with the Jag35SP adapter, and if you don’t already have lenses, then I suggest you get a Canon FD 50mm f1.4 or f1.8 We have some, you can order them from this page: http://web.me.com/jehug/Products/Lenses.html

We have actually discontinued the Jag35Pro and have not been selling it for over 2 months now. Sorry about that. We are still selling the Jag35SP. For the best results with your camera i recommend that you get the Jag35SP in a 72mm thread with a 72mm achromat.
