I just ordered mine and kinda regret it. An awesome product but for $50 it should include an HDMI Battery Pack. Not to mention the $20 shipping fee, bit much?. The small things add up quick. Live and learn. Came out to $85 when all set in stone. bummernnhttp://sewelldirect.com/Sewell-HDMI-1×2-Splitter-v13b.asp?ad_source=GoogleAdWords&ad_medium=PPC&ad_term=hdmi%20splitter&ad_campaign=29552133&ad_group=967280673&ad_network=search&ad_creative=3374744493&gclid=CL_xg6u5zqECFRYhnAodNlb8Iw

20 bucks for the slowest delivery option?

  11. Misa says:

Yes, works fine with the 7D

  12. Andrea says:

This splitter it’s OK for the eos 7d?

  13. Misa says:

Nope, you can’t do that, you’ll have to convince Canon to change their firmware.

  14. Atma Singh says:

    hi,

what if i want to be able to have the camera LCD running at the same time as a monitor? currently as you know, HDMI out being used for a monitor means LCD blacks-out. If I plug-in your splitter and then a monitor into that, will LCD still work alongside monitor?

  15. Misa says:

We did a couple of tests with the splitter and I did notice the problem you mentioned. This is only for the 5DMKII. When both monitors are connected and you have a signal on both, then when you press record, both monitors will loss the signal, while camera tries to start recording, it seems to take too long, and then the camera instead of starting to record, it goes back to regular live view mode.

The Solution to this is simple. You’ll need to press the record button 2 times. First press record, your monitors will show the no signal message for a few seconds, then as they are about to come back, press record a second time, when the signal comes back to the monitors, you’ll be in record mode.

  16. I bought this same splitter for my Canon 5D Mark ii and I can not record with both monitors on. It cuts my signal and the live view comes back on. Is that a normal issue?

Let me rephrase, both monitors show live view, but when I press record it will black out and my 5D will not record. It just goes back to live view. Any ideas.
    Thank you
