Mounting a Follow Focus unit, should still be possible, by using a rod Riser railblock (http://j35.us/rodriser) However, a Mattebox is a different story, the Mattebox requires pretty exact measurements, so depending on which quick release plate you use, I'm pretty sure you'll lose that distance.
