hey there guys. i was looking at the d-focus gears, is there any way that those screws are going to scratch my lens where they come in contact? that is something that would be really lame if it happend.

I'm trying to understand your gear situation. If I order one gear, I will have to move back and forth between my lenses. Is that the issue with one gear vs getting three which will allow me to have three pre-configured for all the lenses?

also, if I bought just one gear, it includes all the necessary connecting pins for different size lens?

On my el-cheapo Canon 18-55mm lens the focus ring is actually pretty narrow, not the wide ones you show in your video and pictures…will your gears work on narrower focus rings?

Sadness occurred, I was trying to fit my D-gear on a 24mm lens.. My plan was to go out and shoot my family and all the moms I know today, but that was cut short when my gear snapped in 2. Im not a reckless guy, however this thing snapped and my heart sank when I saw my ruined D-Gear in my hands.. Im trying to use gorilla glue, to piece it back together but my hope are pretty low. be careful! 30 bucks a pop they aint exactly inexpensive that I can break one and shrug it off. just bummed is all.. 8(

what is the minimum/maximum barrel diameter your gears will cover?

I don't know, but It'll fit any Lens size. Except maybe like the really big lenses, and I mean the Giant Lenses. But it'll fit All L series canon lenses, all the way up to 70-200 or 400mm and even the 85mm f1.2 which I believe is the widest.

Yes, you would need the D|Focus, and the D|Mount piece to mount it without rods.

Yes, for the most they are all industry standard, 32 pitch (0.8 mod,) should work if your follow focus gear is industry standard also.
